Fossil fuel is source of fuel which can not renewable. Gasoline represent one of [the] product of fossil fuel which is often consumed by human. According to the consumptive nature of human especially fuel of petroleum, hence limitation from source of the fossil fuel will become problem in the future. This condition give initiative to human for seeking the source of other energi able to be used as the source of alternative energi to guarantee continuity of amount of energi required, for example with producing bio-etanol . Raw material used for producing bio-etanol can comes form of maize, sugar cane, cassava, wood, wood waste, and other materials whinc contain carbohydrate. Most of etanol which is produced or used in industry come from maize extract ferment and cana sugar. But, the these materialss till now are still consumed by human. Wood is alternative source of raw material because besides it is not consumed by human, its big potency and its cheap price. Indonesia has many kind of the source of wood raw material which is abundant. Wood raw material can be obtained from various source, for example; Industrial Forest Crop, Forest Production, and Society Forest. One of the crop type which is met at the forest is teak plants. Teak Forest in Java has been managed for a century. Management of Teak Forest has started of awareness for the importance of sustainable forest management by Van of den Bosch. Teak has recognized by consumer of wood because its advantages compared others ( Martawijaya A., 1989). Sawn teak at tangensial area shown an existence of parabolic pictures which closing each other, While if it is sawn at radic area will present interesting parallel lines. Besides that, teak very is compatible used to all type of construction building and also exploited many for the raw material of crafting and furniture, also in chemical industy. This wood have endurance which do well by various chemicals, one of them standard upon which etanol of teak. Year data 1998 mentioned that wide of society forest [in] Central Java equal to 180.240,8 Ha can produce wood equal to 3.093.537 m³ or 17,16 m³/ha/year. If seen from the data clear that existence of teak result of from processing of wood in Java is very abundance. Each dry wood gram means etanol can be produced 0,0049 g with gyration 0,00044 - 0,012 g / g. If used some assumption for example : moisture content of wood 12% and 1 litre of etanol = 1.58 pounds, hence from wood waste potency in Indonesia equal to 3.03-4.03 million m³ ( 40,6-53,9 million ton), will be obtained etanol counted 25,2-33,5 Million litre. Process for producing of etanol from wood in general represent result from cellulose sakarification-fermentation. At process of sacarification, wood cellulose hydrolysis can be done by using 2 way of, that is hydrolysis use strong acid and use enzyme. Usage of chemicals in the form of strong acid at hydrolysis process will generate waste affecting unfavourable to environment, so that at this research is used by friendlier enzyme to environment ( Irawati, D. 2007).
